but an enemy multiplies kisses.

Perfume and incense bring Joy to the heart,

and the pleasantness of one's friend springs from his

earnest counsel.

濫交朋友的,自取敗壞.

但有一朋友比兄弟更親密.

朋友乃時常親愛, 弟兄為患難而生.

朋友加的傷痕處於忠誠:

仇敵连连親嘴確是多餘!

膏油與香料使人心喜悅.

朋友誠實的勸教也是如此甘美!
